Our Story

The story of CHRIS BENZ Watches Intl. is one of a young man's passion for water sports. Even as a young boy, Chris Benz, the great-great-grandson of the founder of the Württemberg Watch Factory, was an avid water sports enthusiast and diver, often spending more time underwater than above. He joined forces with friends, fellow divers, diving instructors, surfers, sailors, and other professionals who shared his passion.

Experienced water sports enthusiasts were not fully satisfied with any of the dive watches available on the market. Each watch had its strengths, but there were always details that didn't meet their expectations. After extensive testing and consultations, they identified the features that define the perfect dive watch.

As professionals, they knew what other professionals needed, and as an entrepreneur, Chris knew how to translate their needs and requirements into a reasonably priced product.

This is how the first models of the CHRIS BENZ collection came to be. The response from divers and water sports enthusiasts was both immediate and positive, and thus our brand was born.

Our watches, highly popular among professional and amateur divers, as well as other water sports enthusiasts and trendsetters, are designed to withstand the most rigorous underwater challenges. They impress with uncompromising ergonomic design, superior quality, and craftsmanship.

Robust marine-grade stainless steel cases, precise mechanisms, reliable measuring instruments, helium release valves, as well as depth gauge technology and guaranteed water resistance up to 200 bar – these are all standard features integrated into our models. Our watches are not only rich in features but also equipped with ultra-durable, scratch-resistant, and nearly indestructible sapphire glass. With a hardness of 9, sapphire glass is second only to diamond, which scores 10 on the 1 to 10 scale. The glass in standard watches has an average hardness of 6.5.

An additional feature of our depth gauges is the integrated handy bezel, allowing for easy manipulation even while wearing neoprene gloves. The most remarkable feature is the use of integrated marine-grade stainless steel cases in all our models, as well as exceptionally rugged straps. These features ensure resistance even to great white shark bites.
