We are the only English-speaking magazine on the planet dedicated to technical and mission-oriented diving and diving professionals. Our mission is to provide readers with compelling, depth-full information prepared by leading experts in the field, in order to increase their knowledge and understanding of diving, with the goal of expanding our collective underwater envelope. Think of it as the journal for the hyperbaric intelligentsia, written by the hyperbaric intelligentsia!
InDEPTH is unique in both the breadth and depth of its spirited, monthly online stories, which cover the latest developments in diving safety, technology, training, diving physiology and medicine, human factors, exploration projects, diving culture, history, community and art. We also offer monthly surveys in a section called, DATA MATTERS, and feature community relevant podcasts and YouTubes in our SOUNDINGS section. Readers who sign up for a free subscription receive a weekly email with current and curated stories.
InDEPTH is a partnership of Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) and Michael Menduno, founder and former Editor-in-chief of now defunct aquaCORPS: The Journal for Technical Diving (1990-1996). It is intended as GUE’s contribution or “give-back” to the global diving community, and should not be confused with its membership magazine, QUEST.
