Even though Anton van Rosmalen can be persuaded to get on boats every once in a while and can even get caught talking about wrecks (MARS the Magnificent was awesome!), he really feels at home underground. Anton has been diving since the early Nineties and was involved in many cave exploration projects both underwater as well as in dry caves in Mexico, Croatia, Spain, Italy and France in various support-, push- or expedition organizer roles.
Title of presentation: Cave diving: Past, Present and Future
Anton will dive into the amazing progress that has been made in the development of cave diving since the achievements made by Olivier Isler before the Millennium, through the state of the art of exploration done by teams like the EKPP around 2010 up to what cave diving techniques and gear is used today before ending with the outlook of the future of our sport and what lessons we can learn from this.
