In the context of the subsea science, visual inspection defines the examination of technical conditions of submerged objects. Modern technologies democratise the ability to perform underwater measurements and reduce the risks associated with prolonged exposure to the environment. However, effective inspection of underwater objects is associated with a number of challenges. This presentation takes a closer look at those, summarising the technical-engineering approach to underwater vision surveys.
