Franciszek “Franek” Przeradzki is the Managing Director of Deepspot and has been involved with the facility since before it opened.

He has been diving since childhood and completed his first CMAS course in 2000 — naturally, in a Polish lake. He has been a NAUI Instructor since 2007 and an SSI Instructor since 2018. He became a freediving instructor in 2020 and an SSI Instructor Trainer in 2023, initially in freediving and later in scuba diving.

He also teaches divers with disabilities (HSA), React Right diving first aid, and SSI XR technical diving.

His professional experience includes working at dive centres in Dublin, Croatia, and Florida, as well as with Nautica on the island of Vis and Baza Nurkowa Hel in Poland.

A sociologist by education, Franek is also a photographer and passionate traveller. While still at university, he travelled around the world and has since visited more than 50 countries.

Title: 45 Metres Deep, All Under One Roof: What 160+ Incidents Taught Us About Diving Safety

Since opening in 2020, Deepspot has hosted 300,000 dives — from first breaths underwater to competitive dives down to 45 metres.

Since 2022, every medical incident at the facility has been entered into a structured database, recording accident details, parameters, mechanisms, risk factors, and the course of rescue operations. No other deep diving pool in the world maintains — or at least publicly shares — a comparable dataset.

At Baltictech 2026, we will open this database to the public for the first time. The data reveal a picture that differs from what intuition might suggest — even the intuition developed through hundreds of dives. Not everything we take for granted in diving is confirmed by real-world evidence.

What five years of incident data can tell us about ourselves as divers — you’ll find out live at Baltictech 2026.
