Murathan Yildiz

With more than 25 years of diving experience, Murathan Yildiz is an accomplished technical diver and instructor, holding certifications including SSI CCR Extended Range Trimix Instructor, TDI Advanced Trimix Diver, and SSI Open Water Instructor. He has conducted numerous dives on the historic shipwrecks of Gallipoli, bringing these submerged relics to life through his work as both an instructor and an underwater cinematographer. Combining his diving expertise with advanced 3D documentation techniques, he has successfully completed numerous wreck photogrammetry projects, including SS Carthage, HMS Louis, and Lundy, contributing to the research, documentation, and preservation of deep-water shipwrecks.

In addition to deep diving and instructional activities, Murathan is an expert in color science and a certified DaVinci Resolve instructor. He is also a Dolby Vision Professional and runs an official DaVinci Resolve Training Academy, where he shares his expertise in color grading and post-production. Alongside this, he teaches underwater photography and filmmaking at Istanbul University, inspiring the next generation of underwater storytellers. An active contributor to the diving community, Murathan serves on the board of SUFOD (Underwater Photography and Filmmakers Association) of Türkiye.

In 2023, he co-founded Gallipoli Wrecks Dive Centre, where he supports technical divers from around the world in exploring the deep World War I shipwrecks of the Dardanelles Strait and the Gallipoli Peninsula. He also teaches rebreather diving on JJ units, with JJ Rebreathers available on board.
