Physician, specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care, expert in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine (Level 3 Expert ECHM), the Head of the National Centre for Hyperbaric Medicine in Gdynia, Poland (Medical University of Gdansk), the President of the European Committee for Hyperbaric Medicine (ECHM), past President of the European Underwater and Baromedical Society (EUBS).  The co-author of the current ECHM/EUBS recommendations for recreational and commercial diving during COVID-19 pandemia (details here), medical consultant of DAN Europe and reviewer of deep-dive plans. Professionally interested in technical diving, fatal diving accidents, treatment of diving accidents and other life-threating disorders (gas gangrene, arterial gas embolism, carbon monoxide intoxication) in hyperbaric chambers Diving instructor in the past, currently leads courses and lectures.  The co-author of international publications „The Science of Diving” and „Coping With Extreme Environments: A Physiological/Psychological Approach”, as well as the co-author of the book „NITROKS – Poradnik dla nurków” (“NITROX – The manual for divers”).
